The East Central Zone is still accepting consignments to the Whiteface Classic Sale in May. The consignment date is fast approaching so please see the letter below.
The East Central Ontario Hereford Zone is once again hosting the Whiteface Classic Sale. Saturday May 12, 2018 at the Lindsay Fairgrounds. We hope that you will consider consigning to this popular event.
We ask that you send a copy of your pedigree with a short write-up about your animal. If you are consigning a Hereford influence animal, the write-up only is adequate. This year we require a $100.00 cataloguing fee per entry. This fee will be deducted from your commission when the animal sells. Cheques can be made payable to ECOHZ and mailed to Fran Cavanagh 200 Edenderry Line, Ennismore, Ontario K0L 1T0. We plan to have copies of the catalogue mailed to previous patrons and consigners. These catalogues will also be distributed at the AGM of the Ontario Hereford Association on April 6 and 7, 2018. It is because of these timelines that we ask that you have your consignment information and deposit to us before March 10th. We will be accepting consignments after this and make every effort to include these animals in the catalogue for sale day, but timing may prevent this. We encourage you to give one of the sale committee members a call if you wish to join our sale.
If you would like to support our sale by purchasing a $25.00 business card ad or a sale photo of your entry, again please contact a committee member below.
Thanks again for supporting the East Central Hereford Zone and best of luck at the Whiteface Classic.

Greetings from the ECOHZ! . Another year is underway and many purebred breeders have the majority of their calf crop on the ground. For the commercial breeders, calving will be starting shortly. New calves always bring some excitement and anticipation as we look forward to how they will perform. We spend more hours in the barn for sure, and hope that those hours and the night time visits to the calving pens will result in a successful calf crop. Whether a seed stock producer or a commercial cattleman, these calves are our investment and we hope each year will be better than the one before.
The ECOHZ elected our 2018 Board of Directors in November :
President Lois Batty
Vice -President Karen Paszternak
Executive Director Marcie Reavie
Directors Brenda Bell
The Directors and Secretary Fran Cavanagh have been preparing for our 2018 events.
We will have an information booth at the East Central Farm Show March 7th and 8th at Lindsay Fairgrounds. Please drop by for a visit!
